Look What We Are Learning This Week!

Week of September 24th

We will learn all about the letter Bb.  We will practice writing and identifying the letter, as well as the sound it makes and things that start with the letter.

ELA:  We will continue our All About Me unit.  We will learn about our 5 senses and continue to talk about our feelings.

Math:  We will continue practicing our shapes and colors.  This week, we will focus on the colors orange, black, white, and brown and the shapes oval, diamond, heart, and star.

Religion:  "The Bible"  We will learn all about the Bible and Baptism.

Science: We will continue to talk about the seasons and weather and explore the life cycle of a butterfly.

Every day we will continue to practice our names and tracing/writing letters and numbers.  We will also practice our coloring, cutting and pasting skills.  Continue to reinforce these skills at home!

As part of our STEM curriculum, we encourage the children to create various structures using hands on materials during centers and playtime.  Examples include: building a new house for the 3 little pigs that the wolf cannot blow down,  building a tall tower that is stable and won't fall down, etc.

- Have your child show you the projects they completed each day in school!  This helps to reinforce the lessons and gets them excited and proud of their work.

- For the safety of all, please remember not to pull in the school yard at dismissal.  Please remind each person that may pick up your child.  Thank you!
