                                   Masks
    Please remind your child that their mask must be cover his/her nose & mouth.
    Be sure that the mask is not too big for your son/daughter so the mask does not slide down.
    Students are expected to wear their mask unless we are having a mask break.
    Please reinforce this with your child.

    Remote Learners
    You must look at the classpages for all of special teachers. They may have assignments posted and important information. 
    Also, please join their Google classes
    using your SPS gmail.
    Class codes will be provided. in our Class Google Classroom
    Please check your child's planner.
    Also, check our Google Classroom  daily for any class worksheets for child might need  for the day.

  •         Homework

    *All homework assignments wlll be written in your child's agenda/planner. This is the spiral book titled "Good News", 2020-2021 Catholic Student Planner. Your child will write their homework in this book every day.

                           Mondays-Wednesdays
    Spelling-Tic Tac Toe. To be done in Spelling Book.
    Math-Pages following the day's lesson. See agend or check your child's math book.
    Reading- 15-20 min. per night. Enter into reading logs. Choose a different question from the sheet each night. Send in logs when completed.
                                      Thursdays:
    ELA- Reader's Noteboook independent reading pages. (these are usually  labeled the Independent Reading pages in the RNB) Check agenda/planner.
    Math- Pages following the day's lesson. See agenda.
    Study- Spelling and Comprehension tests on Fridays
    * Spelling tests: Every Friday. All spelling words will be tested. We have change the amount of senteces to five sentences. They must contain seven or more words and not begin with the word I.  
    Please practice at home. Please practice writing sentences during the week.

                                    Fridays:
    No homework will be given over the weekend. Please send in the new chapter for Journeys and Religion each Monday.

    A notice was sent home asking for specific donations for our class basket.
    We were assigned a family that consists of two adult and one 1 year old.
    Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

    Advent is the season of waiting and preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ.

    -complete a daily Good Deeds chart

    -understand the Advent wreath symbols and lighting of the candles.

    I have set up accounts on Epic Books for the class. Please check the Google Classroom for the infomation on how families can gain after school access.

                   Daily  Book/Supply Schedule:
    Please check your child's pencil case daily to make sure they have sharpened pencils and erasers for each day.  
    Everyday books and supplies needed in class:
     pencil case, Home work folder, WIP-Work in Progress Folder, planner/agenda, Math, Journeys (both), Religion, Journal composition book, green book

    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday:
    Spelling compostion book and handwriting book

    Friday:
    Spanish notebook 

    You may rip out and staple the chapter that we are working on in Religion each week.  Please have the next chapter sent in each Monday. The Religion  We Believe book can then be left home. (One less book in the backpack)

    We will do the same for Science Fusion starting in October. (One less book in the backpack)

    Feel free to copy the Journeys reading selection and send that in with your child each Monday.  You need only copy the actual stories.  It is not necessary to copy all of the pages related to the story. It does not have to be in color. It's up to you.

    You can copy the corresponding pages in the Journeys Reader's Notebook, but it may not be worth copying because the book is thin and light
