Welcome to Spanish class at Saint Patrick School!

• The main objective of this class is to introduce basic vocabulary and expressions in Spanish.The children will also be learning the prayers and the Pledge of Alligiance
• Students from K to 4th grade will be able to development basic vocabulary skills and to understand cultural assessts in the target language.They will be learning simple grammar points,in order to start writing simple sentences. The many different  Hispanic speaking countries and their flags 
• The objective of this class is to introduce basic communication skills in Spanish for grades 5 to 8th.
• Students will engage in speaking, reading, listening, and writing activities in order to gain proficiency in Spanish.
• Students will complete tasks and projects that help them to build skills to communicate in a variety of ways.
• In addition, Students will be exploring some cultural aspects from the Spanish speaking countries

When viewing Poweschool, the percentage "Average" shown for your child is a reflection of performance on Formal Assessments such as Quizzes and Tests ONLY.  These assessments account for 75% of your child's overall grade.

Minor assessments, such as Classwork, Class Participation and HW are entered in Powerschool and marked as "completed", "late", "missing", or "incomplete". A percentage grade for Classwork and HW will be calculated at the end of the trimester. Your child's overall average may go up or down based on the quality of his/her performance on Classwork/Participation and HW for the Trimester.
